Since 2012, South Cebu has become a tourist hot spot, not only for the world renowned Whale Shark Watching experience, but also because the Philippine Tourist Office has invested heavily in the area, opening up new waterfalls and experiences plus improving the access and experience of the existing tourist destinations, like Osmena Peak for example. Year on year there are new places opening in our area, giving tourist and locals alike something new to do.
At the resort itself you have a fully functional dive shop, which can cater for large groups. Our boat captains and dive instructors know all of the great dive points in our local vicinity and also further afield, so you will not run out of dive sites to visit during your stay. In our own town you have San Guillermo Church, which was built during the Spanish times. It is still in perfect condition. You also have the sea wall, which sells local Filipino Foods and the famous Filipino delight "Halo Halo". In the town itself you have a great market selling freshly caught fish, picked produce from the mountain above the town and butchered meats. There is also an International ATM machine should you need extra cash.
Just out of the town you have Obong Springs, which is a great way to cool off on a hot summers day, due to the large pond being fed by spring water from the mountains as well as the sea water. So you have a nice mixture of cool water. If our own beach is not big enough for you, then you have a choice of two beaches within a 15 minute ride of the resort, one is called "Dalaguete Beach Club" and the other is called "Tingko Beach"
If you head up the mountains you then have Osmena Peak which is the highest point in the whole of Cebu, giving you great 360 degree views (Weather Permitting) and a much cooler climate. It is usually 4 or 5 degree Celsius cooler up there. Whilst up in there why not take the time to also visit the strawberry farm where you can buy freshly picked strawberries and also have a selection of produce made from their own strawberries. Also nearby you have a flower farm with row upon row of flowers, and great photo opportunity to be had.
Slightly further afield you have the famous Whale Shark Watching, where you can also swim with them (No Touching Though) and whilst you are down that way, you have many different waterfalls to explore and have fun at. Aquinid Falls is great as it is a 7 tier waterfall system, where you will be assigned a guide who will take you up each tier. You will get very wet :o)
All of these attraction are easily accessible from the resort, as we are situated right next to the National Highway, which runs from Cebu City to Bato, which is the southern most tip of Cebu Island. Whether you are using public transport, have your own car or would like us to arrange daily excursions, then be assured our resort is in a very good location.
